Things to do over the holiday break

As educators we all know about the “summer slide,” where students slide back in their learning during the summer break.  However, even shorter breaks, like the upcoming Christmas holiday break, can set children back.  I compiled a short list of ways that parents can incorporate mathematics into their kids’ lives during the break to help eliminate some of that slide.  This FREE one page document can easily be printed off and sent home with the kids.  It provides a few suggestions on traditional games and online game sites that can help students build (and retain) their mathematical understandings.  Visit my Teachers Pay Teachers store to download the FREE Holiday Math Activity Guide for Parents.
